Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s Message on Pakistan Air Force Day
On the historic occasion of Pakistan Air Force Day, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all ranks of the Pakistan Air Force for their exceptional service, unwavering dedication and distinguished record of professionalism.
Throughout its history, the Pakistan Air Force has demonstrated remarkable operational capability, courage and command of the skies. Its proud legacy is defined by sacrifice, valour and professional excellence. Whenever the nation has called, its personnel have responded with determination and extraordinary bravery.
In September 1965, Pakistan Air Force aviators defended the country’s aerial frontiers with unmatched resolve. Their courage and commitment secured a memorable place in our national history. Many made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of the motherland, and it remains our solemn duty and national honour to pay tribute to the Shuhada.
This proud tradition was carried forward in May 2025, when Pakistan faced renewed aggression. Working in close coordination with the sister services, the Pakistan Air Force played a decisive role during Marka-e-Haq. This success reflected resolute leadership, the tactical excellence of combat crews, meticulous planning and the effective use of modern multidomain warfare capabilities developed through sustained modernization and indigenization.
The nation takes immense pride in the Pakistan Air Force for preserving its distinguished tradition of overcoming formidable challenges despite numerical disadvantages.
