Kashmir Solidarity Day observed at Pakistani Embassy in France

Speakers spoke out against the Indian occupation troops' breaches of human rights on behalf of the people of IIOJK.

Paris, 7 February 2023 (GNP): The Pakistani Embassy in Paris hosted a ceremony honouring Kashmir Solidarity Day. Many people from the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities attended the event.

Messages from the Pakistani President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read out on this occasion, and a video on the horrors carried out in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) was aired at the event.

Speakers spoke out against the Indian occupation troops’ breaches of human rights on behalf of the people of IIOJK.

They called on the UN and the rest of the world to intervene in order to resolve the Kashmir conflict in line with the relevant UNSC resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Ambassador of Pakistan to France, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, while speaking on Kashmir Solidarity Day, lauded Kashmiris for their commitment to the sacrifices made in favour of their righteous cause of obtaining self-determination in his address to the audience.

The whole population of Pakistan stands in solidarity with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters and is adamant that one day the people of Kashmir will be able to gain independence from Indian military tyranny and unlawful occupation.

He acknowledged the significant contribution that the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities in France were making to the cause of Kashmir.

Images and artwork exposing the atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces in IIOJK were also on exhibit at the chancery.

Later, members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities marched in protest from the Gare de l’Est to the Place de la Republique, where speakers and protesters waved banners and posters emphasizing the Kashmir conflict.
