Kabul, 27 March 2023 (GNP): A suicide bomber detonated an explosive device near the exit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul, killing and injuring a number of employees leaving the building.
According to initial reports, the attacker targeted the group of employees as they were leaving the building, causing a powerful blast that shattered windows and damaged nearby buildings. At least a 10 people were reported dead and several others injured.
This is the second attack on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in recent months. The first attack occurred in early January and was claimed by the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), an affiliate of the ISIS terrorist group.


The Afghan government has condemned the attack, calling it a “cowardly act of terror.” The Taliban, who have taken control of the country following the withdrawal of U.S. and NATO troops, have also denounced the attack and pledged to bring the perpetrators to justice.
