CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Message on World Book Day
Lahore: In her message on World Book Day, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif greeted all those who write, print, sell, and read books. She observed that even in today’s digital age, importance of books will not diminish.
She noted that intellectual training of humans, their consciousness, and formation of a civilized society are indebted to books. She said that habit of reading books ignites mind with awareness, and they want to attract young people towards reading books in order to promote positive and constructive thinking.
She added that Government of Punjab is introducing a “Mobile Library” for the first time, as books introduce us to diverse ideas, civilizations, and experiences. She underscored that reading books promotes tolerance, dialogue, and harmony, and flashed that she loves reading books; and picks up a book whenever she gets a free time.
