Islamabad (GNP): The Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to link HEC’s degree verification system with PSEB’s upcoming national digital workforce platform.
The move is intended to enable digital verification of academic qualifications, build stronger connections between academia and industry, and improve job prospects for graduates.
HEC Chairman Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar and PSEB Chief Executive Officer Faisal Jeddy attended the signing ceremony, alongside other senior officials from both organizations.
Through this integration, academic credentials belonging to students and professionals will be digitally verified, boosting transparency and credibility across efforts to develop digital talent and workforce initiatives.
The platform is set to become Pakistan’s first verified national repository of digital talent, hosting authenticated profiles of students and IT professionals.
Employers, both domestic and international, will be able to draw on this verified talent pool, making it easier to match candidates with jobs and expanding employment opportunities for Pakistan’s tech workforce worldwide.
The partnership represents another step toward creating a connected, data-driven system that supports skills training, employability, and Pakistan’s broader push toward digital transformation.
The Pakistan Software Export Board works to position Pakistan as a major player in the global IT industry by driving up IT exports and opening doors to international opportunities for the country’s tech sector.
