Islamabad (GNP): Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has paid rich tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan, the martyrs, the Ghazis, and the entire nation on the completion of one year of “Maraka-e-Haq”. He stated that the event has made it clear to the world that the Pakistani nation remains united and resolute in defending its sovereignty, self-respect, and national integrity.
Chairman of the Senate Gilani said that despite India’s unprovoked aggression and malicious targeting of civilian populations, Pakistan responded in a responsible, restrained, and professionally effective manner, delivering a strong and decisive response to the adversary.
The Chairman Senate noted that the Armed Forces of Pakistan particularly the Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Army, and Pakistan Navy demonstrated exemplary coordination and applied modern defence strategies to thwart the enemy’s designs.
He said that the wise leadership of the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, along with the courageous military leadership and strategic command of Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, played a pivotal role in achieving this historic success.
He further stated that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar effectively presented Pakistan’s case on the diplomatic front, strongly projecting the national narrative at the international level and exposing India’s misleading propaganda.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani emphasized that during “Ma’raka-e-Haq,” Pakistan’s defence forces exhibited exceptional professionalism, effective use of modern technology, and superior strategic planning, inflicting significant losses on the adversary.

He added that this achievement is not limited to the military domain alone but also represents a remarkable example of national unity, political harmony, and institutional cohesion.

Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani also appreciated the responsible role of the Pakistani media, stating that it effectively exposed hostile propaganda and strengthened Pakistan’s narrative at the global level.
He concluded that “Ma’raka-e-Haq” has proven that Pakistan is a peaceful, strong, and sovereign state that will never compromise on its freedom, independence, and national security.
