Foreign Minister Wang Yi advocates for shared future cooperation at National People’s Congress

Vienna, 8 March, 2024 (GNP): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi addressed the press on Thursday at the second session of the 14th National People’s Congress, emphasizing the critical importance of fostering cooperation towards a shared future for humanity.

During his address, Minister Wang Yi highlighted the evolution of the concept of building a community with a shared future for humanity, emphasizing its transformation into an international consensus with practical implications.

He underscored China’s commitment to this vision and its efforts to foster shared futures with numerous countries and regions across various sectors.

“The prevailing reality dictates that global challenges require collective action and mutual cooperation,” stated Wang Yi, emphasizing the interconnectedness of nations and the imperative for collaborative solutions.

Minister Wang Yi also reiterated China’s readiness to collaborate with the global community to build a world characterized by openness and inclusivity.

He declared China’s commitment to protecting global peace and development while increasing its contributions to both domestically.

“The future of humanity should be collectively determined,” asserted Wang Yi, underlining the principle of inclusive collaboration.
