EU bans, sanctions ‘not beneficial to any side’, said Taliban

European Council imposed sanctions on five organizations and 18 Taliban individuals over ban on girl's education nationwide.

Kabul, 22 July, 2023 (GNP): The interim Taliban administration stated that the bans and sanctions will not favor the people of the battle-scarred nation, on Friday.

The representative of the Taliban administration Zabihullah Mujahid expressed that imposing sanctions over the Taliban leaders “is not beneficial to any side.”

“Instead of using pressure and sanctions, interaction, dialogue, and understanding should be used. Repeating the failed experience against Afghans and imposing politics did not give results,” he added.
