ChaharBagh: Pakistan’s artistic heritage shines in Budapest

Budapest, 8 September, 2023 (GNP): The Pakistan embassy in Hungary organized the first-ever art exhibition in Budapest on Tuesday, in collaboration with embassy of Turkiye and Yunus Emre Institute.

The art exhibition titled ‘ChaharBagh’, meaning four gardens of paradise, was inaugurated by the Pakistani ambassador Asif Hussain Memon, ambassador of Turkiye in Budapest, and the chief guest Peter Jakab, the Director General of Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Ambassador Asif Hussain Memon underscored the exhibition’s theme in his welcome address and celebrated Pakistan’s rich artistic heritage

He also highlighted the importance of organizing frequent art and cultural events to foster cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Hungary.

In a diplomatic exchange, the Pakistani Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Turkish Ambassador for their valuable support.

 

The Turkish Ambassador, emphasizing the enduring historical ties between Turkey and Pakistan, pledged continued support for collaborative efforts.

Péter Jakab, Director General of Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, commended the Pakistan Embassy’s initiatives in strengthening bilateral relations between Hungary and Pakistan, spanning various fields, including arts and culture.

Whereas, Sundas Azfar, the exhibition’s curator, conveyed the exhibition’s theme in her pre-recorded video message.
