Rawalpindi (GNP): Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to eliminate terrorist infrastructure wherever it threatens the country, speaking to participants of the 20th National Workshop on Balochistan at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
Addressing attendees, Munir said sustained efforts by security forces and law enforcement, combined with continued public support, would ultimately bring lasting peace to Balochistan. He reaffirmed that targeted military operations against groups referred to as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan would continue until terrorism and those who support it are eliminated from Pakistan.
He noted that foreign-backed proxy groups have repeatedly attempted to fuel unrest and destabilize Balochistan, but said such efforts would be countered through a firm, coordinated response from the armed forces, supported by the resilience and unity of the Pakistani people.
Remarks on Balochistan’s Development
Munir described Balochistan as a source of national pride, citing its natural resources and the resilience of its people as key strengths for the province. He said the consistent efforts of security forces and law enforcement agencies, backed by the steadfast support of the people would bring lasting peace to Balochistan.
Syed Asim Munir underscored that foreign-sponsored proxies have persistently sought to fuel violence, undermine stability and disrupt peace in Balochistan. Their nefarious designs, however, will be defeated through a firm and decisive response of the Armed Forces, supported by the resilience and unity of the people of Pakistan.
During the interaction, the Field Marshal described Balochistan as the pride of Pakistan, endowed with immense natural wealth and blessed with vibrant, resilient and patriotic people who constitute the province’s greatest strength.
