Taking on X, formerly Twitter, Minister Solangi reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to dispel misinformation.

He underscored that strict actions would be taken against any individuals involved in the dissemination of such deceptive notifications.
The baseless ‘notification,’ alleging a nationwide ban on Rs5,000 notes effective September 30, 2023, had caused unwarranted panic among the public.

The spurious notice purported a significant policy change aimed at fortifying the financial system and combatting illicit financial activities.
