Khartoum, 4 October 2021 (TDI): The International Committee of the Red Cross in Sudan launched emergency assistance for the people of Sudan affected by heavy floods and rain during the rainy season.
Due to flooding and heavy rains in Sudan, hundreds of families dislocated and lost their vehicles, homes, and jobs. The Al-Faw region of the Republic of Sudan was highly affected by rain and floodwater, and following this, the International Committee of the Red Cross in Sudan launched the emergency relief package for as many as 1500 families in the first stage.

The relief Support is launched for those who lost their homes and livelihood due to heavy rains and floods. The ICRC is a humanitarian organization working in various developing and under-developed countries to promote higher standards of living and to provide emergence relief to the deprived section of the society.
In Al-Faw, the ICRC plans to protect the families from floods and provide them with assistance to reestablish and rework for better growth and development.
