
Islamabad : National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) successfully wrapped up its 4-day maritime workshop, focusing on key topics such as the Indian Ocean’s geo-strategic environment, Blue Economy, Maritime Law, Climate Change, and AI-enabled systems in maritime sectors.
Upon arrival, Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz HI(M) was warmly welcomed as the chief guest by NIMA President Vice Admiral Ahmed Saeed HI(M) Retd.
During the closing ceremony, the Chief Guest praised NIMA’s efforts in promoting maritime awareness and capacity-building among youth through these workshops. He encouraged participants to become ambassadors of the Blue Economy and provide feedback to improve future workshops. Certificates were awarded to the participants, who included students, professionals, and researchers.

The workshop aimed to enhance maritime knowledge and foster dialogue among stakeholders, aligning with NIMA’s mission to promote maritime research and awareness.
