Delegation of the Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) Calls on Chief Minister of Balochistan

Islamabad : A delegation of the Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) of the National Assembly, led by President YPF and Member of the National Assembly Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar, called on Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta.

The Chief Minister warmly welcomed the YPF delegation and briefed them extensively on the government’s policies, developmental initiatives, and the various challenges faced by Balochistan. During the meeting, the delegation held a detailed discussion on the overall political, social, economic, and law and order situation in the province.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that good governance is the most effective response to terrorism. He highlighted that state institutions, by adhering to the principles of transparency and accountability, are steering Balochistan towards a path of progress. He further noted that understanding the issues of Balochistan requires consideration of their historical context. He stated that being discontent with the state does not justify taking up arms, adding that the Constitution of Pakistan calls for unconditional loyalty to the state.

President YPF and MNA, Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar, during the conversation, appreciated the performance of the Government of Balochistan and stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the province is progressing in a positive direction. She added that the government’s stance not only reflects national unity but also ensures the foundation of a strong, peaceful, and stable Pakistan.

General Secretary YPF and MNA Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani reaffirmed that young parliamentarians will continue to play their role in promoting the positive image of Balochistan, fostering national harmony, and strengthening the narrative of the state.

The Chief Minister, while briefing the delegation on various government initiatives, informed them that over the past year, more than 3,200 closed schools across the province have been reactivated. He also mentioned that under the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program, students from Balochistan are being sent for PhD studies to 200 prestigious universities around the world. In addition, for the first time, special scholarships have been introduced for minority and transgender students. The Chief Minister further highlighted that the inclusion of four women ministers in the provincial cabinet is a clear and practical reflection of the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment.

The delegation of the YPF expressed its firm resolve to continue supporting the Government of Balochistan in all possible ways for the development of the province, empowerment of youth, promotion of education, creation of employment opportunities, and strengthening of the national narrative.

The YPF delegation comprised General Secretary YPF and Member of the National Assembly Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, Information Secretary YPF and MNA Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Khan, as well as MNAs Mr. Muhammad Saadullah, Mr. Muhammad Miqdad Ali Khan, Raja Osama Sarwar, Ms. Akhtar Bibi, and Ms. Shaista Khan.
