RDA Enforces Strict Case Disposal Timelines Through e-FOAS

RAWALPINDI (GNP): The Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and the Director General, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Salman Ghani has directed the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate RDA to ensure strict implementation of the stipulated timelines for the timely disposal of cases received through the Electronic Filing and Office Automation System e-FOAS system.

The directions emphasize strict compliance with the earlier instructions issued by the Government of Punjab regarding the expeditious processing and disposal of cases through e-FOAS. He observed that the prescribed timelines are not being consistently followed, while physical files are being processed and moved without proper synchronization with the e-FOAS system.

The Commissioner Rawalpindi stressed that all officers and officials of RDA must ensure that cases received through e-FOAS are processed and disposed of within the stipulated timelines. Furthermore, the movement and processing of physical files must remain fully synchronized with the corresponding online workflow to ensure transparency, efficiency, accountability, and timely service delivery.

He further emphasized that the e-FOAS system is intended to facilitate an efficient, transparent, and time-bound mechanism for processing official cases. Therefore, all concerned formations must ensure that the prescribed procedures are followed at every stage, avoiding unnecessary delays, procedural lapses, and discrepancies between the online system and physical record. Timely coordination among the relevant officers and staff is essential to maintaining an effective workflow and ensuring that applications and cases are processed without undue delay.

It has further been directed that any deviation from the prescribed timelines resulting in unnecessary delays or pendency of cases will be viewed seriously, and strict disciplinary action will be initiated against the officials responsible. The instructions are aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency, ensuring institutional accountability, and improving the overall pace of official case processing in accordance with the Government of Punjab’s directions.
