Vienna (GNP): The Board of Governors of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), Vienna, has appointed Dr Tafakhar Ali Asdi, Deputy Auditor-General of Pakistan, as Independent External Auditor of the Academy for 2028–2030 on 9th October 2026.
This is SAI Pakistan’s first such appointment since 2013, when it served as external auditor of UNIDO. The present appointment was secured through dedicated efforts under the guidance and supervision of the Auditor-General of Pakistan, H.E. Maqbool Ahmad Gondal.
IACA’s selection of SAI Pakistan shows the international community’s trust in the professional capabilities of the officers of the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service. It also reflects Pakistan’s commitment to transparency, accountability and good governance.
