Islamabad (GNP): Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a public design competition inviting entries for a commemorative logo marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Pakistan, set to be celebrated in 2027.
According to an announcement on MOFA Japan’s website, the winning design will serve as the official emblem used across events and promotional materials throughout the anniversary year.
The competition is open to citizens of both Japan and Pakistan, regardless of age or current place of residence. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, October 23, 2026, with results expected to be announced on Japan’s Foreign Ministry website around late December 2026.
While the winning designer will not receive monetary compensation or prizes, they will be publicly credited by name and affiliation, provided they consent to this recognition. The finalized logo will be shared with authorized representatives from the foreign ministries of both countries and used in connection with official 75th anniversary commemorations.
Interested participants can submit entries via email to the Southwest Asia Division of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs at japanpakistan75@mofa.go.jp, using the subject line “Logo Entry.” The email should include the applicant’s name and affiliation, though the design explanation should not be included in the message body itself.
Submissions must meet specific technical requirements: digital files should be in JPEG, PDF, or EPS format with a maximum size of 3 MB and a resolution of at least 300 DPI. Vertical (portrait) layouts should measure approximately 160px × 160px, while horizontal (landscape) layouts should be around 250px × 150px. Both color and black-and-white versions of the design must be provided.
