
Ambassador Dr. Jemal Calls on Defence Secretary of Pakistan to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation
Islamabad : H.E. Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula, Special Envoy and Ambassador Extraordinary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, was called on the Honorable Defence Secretary of Pakistan, Lt. Gen (R) Muhammad Ali HI(M) to discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Both sides reviewed the existing bilateral relationship, expressing mutual commitment to further strengthening these ties.
During the meeting, the Ambassador briefed the Defence Secretary about the significant political, social, and legal reforms that have transformed Ethiopia under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
He emphasized the renewed momentum in bilateral relations due to the establishment of the Ethiopian Embassy and the commencement of Ethiopian Airlines’ operations in Pakistan.
The Ambassador also underscored Ethiopia’s strategic regional position, its vital contributions to peace and security in the area, and its leading role in fostering regional integration.
The Defence Secretary commended the homegrown economic reforms undertaken by Ethiopia to achieve sustainable growth.
He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to enhance its relations with African nations, including Ethiopia.

The Defence Secretary assured the Ambassador of his full support in advancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
