Tehran (GNP): A tribute to Sadequain, together with an exhibition of his works, was held at the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Cultural Institute in Tehran. The event brought attention to the artistic legacy of the Pakistani artist in the Iranian capital.
The ceremony drew senior figures from diplomacy and the arts. Among those present were the President of the ECO Cultural Institute, Ambassador Dr Mohammad Hassan, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imran Ahmed Siddiqui. Dr Salman Ahmad, Founder and Chairman of the Sadequain Foundation, also attended.
The academic side was represented by Dr Mohammad Reza Moridi, an Associate Professor and faculty member at the University of Art, Iran. Joining them were diplomats, university professors, researchers and art enthusiasts, which made the gathering a mix of official and scholarly guests.

The programme went beyond the exhibition. It included video messages and specialised presentations on Sadequain’s artistic legacy, giving guests a closer look at the work on display and the artist behind it.
By placing the tribute at an ECO institution, with the Pakistani ambassador and the foundation named after the artist both present, the event linked art with cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
