Islamabad (GNP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif once again denounced recent Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s civilian and economic infrastructure, reiterating Pakistan’s strong condemnation during a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Monday afternoon.
During what was described as a warm and cordial exchange, Sharif expressed full solidarity with Saudi leadership and the Saudi people, warning that the recent Houthi actions posed a threat to regional peace and stability and risked further disrupting global energy supplies and the wider economy.
The Prime Minister said he would continue working alongside Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar to help ease tensions and promote peace in the region. He commended the Saudi Crown Prince for his measured and thoughtful leadership throughout the crisis.
Sharif also took the opportunity to convey his warm regards to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
In response, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kingdom and its ongoing efforts to promote regional peace and stability.

Both leaders agreed to stay in close contact and expressed hope for an in-person meeting in the near future.
