Future of Balochistan and Pakistan is United, CDF

Rawalpindi (GNP): Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, met with tribal notables and political leaders from Balochistan, telling them that the province’s future is inseparable from Pakistan’s own.

Munir described Balochistan’s people as talented, resilient, and deeply patriotic, and said the province’s true economic potential can only be unlocked through a clear national narrative paired with lasting peace and stability — conditions he called essential for attracting investment and turning the region’s human and natural resources into real prosperity for its residents.

He singled out Balochistan’s youth as one of the country’s most promising assets, arguing there’s no shortage of talent or opportunity among young people in the province.

Giving them a genuine stake in national progress, he said, is central to any sustainable development strategy.

The army chief accused two groups he referred to as Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan of acting as foreign-sponsored proxies aimed at destabilizing Balochistan, stalling its development, and driving a wedge between the state and its people.

He vowed these efforts would be defeated through unified national resolve and a firm, decisive state response.

Munir credited Balochistan’s community leaders and notables with helping preserve peace, strengthen social cohesion, and foster constructive dialogue within the province.

He urged them to actively push back against hostile propaganda and false narratives, and instead highlight the province’s real progress, potential, and aspirations — stressing that Balochistan’s future ultimately belongs to its own people to decide.

In response, the participating leaders reaffirmed their commitment to peace and development in both Balochistan and Pakistan more broadly.

They pledged to stand with the state and armed forces against externally backed threats to stability, and voiced their determination to pursue people-centered development that leads to a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Balochistan — one where, they said, truth prevails and hostile narratives collapse under their own falseness.
