Islamabad (GNP): Melaw Getachew, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Ethiopian Embassy Islamabad, hosted Prof. Dr. Saeed ul Hassan Chishti, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Rashid Latif Khan University (RLKU), and his delegation on Friday to explore potential areas of bilateral cooperation.
The discussions focused on establishing cooperation across the business, health, and education sectors through knowledge sharing and the future exchange of delegations.
The Chargé d’Affaires briefed the delegation on exceptional business opportunities in Ethiopia’s pharmaceutical and surgical sectors, as well as in the broader healthcare and education fields.
He specifically highlighted competitive advantages for the Pakistani business community, including affordable and sustainable energy, Ethiopia’s regional integration, a skilled workforce, and a growing demand within the healthcare sector.
Prof. Dr. Saeed ul Hassan Chishti expressed keen interest in Ethiopia’s economic opportunities and stated his intention to visit the country in the future. To further strengthen bilateral ties, he extended an invitation to the Embassy to participate in the Health and Education Summit 2026 being organized by the Rashid Latif Khan Group.
