Islamabad (GNP): A high-level Belarusian delegation, led by Chief of the General Staff and First Deputy Defence Minister Major General Pavel Muraveiko, met separately with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at their respective headquarters in Islamabad.
Meeting with Naval Chief
During talks at Naval Headquarters, Admiral Ashraf and the visiting delegation discussed matters of shared professional interest, including defense collaboration.
Ashraf emphasized that Pakistan values its relationship with Belarus and is interested in building long-term, multi-dimensional cooperation between the two countries.
The Belarusian delegation acknowledged Pakistan Navy’s contributions to regional maritime security, with both sides agreeing to expand and diversify the existing defense relationship.

Meeting with Air Chief
The delegation also met with Air Chief Marshal Sidhu at Air Headquarters, where discussions covered regional security, defense cooperation, and opportunities for expanded military collaboration. Sidhu reaffirmed the Pakistan Air Force’s commitment to strengthening bilateral defense ties, highlighting the importance of joint training, exercises, and technological and industrial cooperation.
The visiting delegation praised the Pakistan Air Force’s operational readiness and progress in technological self-reliance, expressing Belarus’s interest in further expanding defense cooperation between the two countries.

Both meetings reflected the shared commitment of Pakistan and Belarus to deepening defense ties and exploring further areas of collaboration.
