China (GNP): China has introduced one of its largest and most advanced tunnel boring machines (TBMs), marking another important achievement in the country’s infrastructure and engineering sector.
The intelligent slurry shield tunnel boring machine, designed for large-scale underground construction, is expected to play an important role in a major road upgrade project in Shenzhen, demonstrating China’s continued investment in smart construction technology.
The newly manufactured TBM rolled off the production line in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province in central China. The machine has an excavation diameter of 15.88 meters and a total length of 165 meters, making it one of the largest tunnel boring machines developed in the country.
