Islamabad, 3 January, 2024 (GNP): Former Finance Minister Sartaj Aziz passed away in Islamabad on Tuesday, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication to Pakistan, as confirmed by government and PML-N officials.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) announced his passing through a heartfelt message on social media, expressing deep sorrow at the loss of a stalwart leader.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Sartaj Aziz. A stalwart, a true icon, and a towering figure! His contributions to the nation and towards the party will never be forgotten,” the statement read.

PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal acknowledged Aziz as a veteran of the Pakistan movement, recognizing his invaluable contributions.
