Islamabad (GNP): Pakistan Post today issued a commemorative postage stamp to mark the 96th birth anniversary of the legendary artist Sadequain during an impressive ceremony held at the Sadequain Gallery, Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), Islamabad.
The commemorative stamp celebrates the life and enduring legacy of Sadequain, Pakistan’s most celebrated modern artist and one of the nation’s greatest cultural ambassadors. Through his visionary paintings, monumental murals, revolutionary calligraphy, and poetic expression, Sadequain created a distinctive artistic language that transcended national boundaries and earned admiration across all five continents.
Occupying a singular place in Pakistan’s cultural history, Sadequain’s works continue to inspire scholars, artists, and art enthusiasts worldwide. His masterpieces are housed in museums, universities, embassies, public institutions, and private collections across Asia, Europe, North America, Africa, and Australia, reflecting the global reach of his artistic genius.
