Lahore (GNP): Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed the dates for the President’s Trophy Grade-II Silver tournament, which is set to begin from Monday, 18 May in Lahore, Sheikhupura, and Faisalabad, with 10 teams taking part in it.
A total of 20 non-first-class three-day matches and a four-day final will take place in the tournament, with the two finalists securing their spots in the Gold round of the tournament next year. The 10 teams have been divided into two pools of five each.
Pool A matches will be played at Rana Naveed Cricket Academy, Sheikhupura, Saeed Sports City and Railway Cricket Stadium, Lahore. It comprises of SNSJ Marketing, Income Tax, Prism Marketing, SASA Packaging and Pak Saudi International.
The Pool B consists of Service Industries, Haider Cricket Club, IMCC, Rajpoor Traders and Sports Board Punjab, while their matches will be staged at the PCB’s HPC Ground, Iqbal Stadium and the Saeed Ajmal Cricket Academy in Faisalabad.
Topper of each pool will face each other in a four-day non-first-class final from 14-17 June. The venue for the final will be announced in due course. The winner of the tournament will be awarded a cash prize of PKR 2.5 million with the runner-up grabbing PKR 1.25 million. The prize pot set aside for this tournament is PKR 3.9 million.

The President’s Trophy Grade-II, which serves as the pathway to qualification for departmental first-class and List A tournaments, has been split into two tiers this season, with Gold comprising 14 teams and Silver comprising 10.
The finalists of the Gold tournament will qualify for the President’s Trophy and Cup Grade-I, while the bottom team in each of its two pools will be relegated to Silver. The finalists of the Silver tier will be promoted to next year’s Gold tier.
