Young Artists Mark Marka-e-Haq Anniversary with Azm-e-Marsoos Exhibition

Islamabad (GNP): Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) inaugurated its art exhibition titled “Azm-e-Marsoos: Young Artists Commemorate One Year of Marka-e-Haq” at the National Art Gallery.

The exhibition was formally inaugurated by Lt. Gen. (R) Humayun Bangash, a distinguished figure in the field of calligraphy known for his contributions to Pakistan’s cultural heritage. He was accompanied by Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division, and M. Ayoub Jamali, Director General PNCA, along with a large number of artists, students, and distinguished guests.

“Azm-e-Marsoos” translates the spirit of resilience and unity from the battlefield to the canvas. The exhibition brings together young artists from across Pakistan to reflect upon and reinterpret the meaning of “Marka-e-Haq” for a new generation. Through paintings and mixed media works, participating artists explore themes of courage, sacrifice, unity, and the enduring bond between the people and their defenders.

The artworks on display move beyond commemoration of a military achievement; they serve as affirmations of cultural continuity. They demonstrate how the strength and resolve of the nation’s Armed Forces are transformed into creative expression by the country’s youth. Each piece stands as a testament to a collective resolve, solid, united, and enduring, expressed through creativity and shared memory.

The exhibition received an overwhelming response from young artists nationwide, with submissions reflecting deep patriotism, love for the country, and heartfelt tributes to the brave soldiers safeguarding Pakistan’s borders.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister Aurangzeb Khan Khichi appreciated the enthusiastic participation of youth and expressed hope for continued engagement in future cultural initiatives.

The creativity, discipline, and passion on display reaffirm that the future of our cultural heritage is in capable hands. I commend PNCA for providing such a meaningful platform and congratulate all participants for their inspiring work.”

The event brought together artists, students, and members of the intellectual community, fostering meaningful dialogue around themes of truth, strength, and national pride.
