Remembrance of Iqbal” honors intellectual legacy

Lahore (GNP) : Lahore Arts Council, Alhamra, in collaboration with the Allama Iqbal Council, hosted a distinguished and intellectually engaging ceremony titled “Remembrance of Iqbal,” dedicated to honoring the timeless vision and philosophical legacy of the national poet and thinker, Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

The event brought together an eminent assembly of scholars and distinguished personalities, including Iranian Consul General Mehran, Dr. Iqrar Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Allama Iqbal Council Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema, Principal of Kinnaird College Dr. Iram Anjum, Brigadier (R) Waheed-uz-Zaman Tariq, Tanveer Abbas Tabish, and Dr. Uzma Zareen.

Each speaker offered thoughtful reflections on Iqbal’s philosophy, highlighting its enduring relevance in shaping intellectual discourse and guiding contemporary society.

Speakers emphasized that Iqbal’s teachings continue to inspire the younger generation towards self-awareness, unity, and purposeful living. His ideas remain a powerful source of guidance, encouraging individuals to strive for excellence while remaining rooted in strong moral and cultural values.

The Iranian Consul General, in his address, underscored the importance of fostering deeper cultural and intellectual ties between Pakistan and Iran, noting that shared philosophical traditions serve as a strong foundation for mutual understanding and cooperation.

The addresses delivered by the Consul General and Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema were particularly well received, drawing warm appreciation from the audience.
