Islamabad :- WaterAid Pakistan successfully launched its Technical Guidelines on Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) for Water Resource Management through a series of events and technical trainings in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

Developed as part of our commitment to promoting climate-resilient, sustainable, and inclusive WASH solutions, these guidelines provide practical, scalable, and evidence-based direction for planning, design, and implementation of NbS approaches, including rainwater harvesting (RWH), groundwater recharge, and nature-based wastewater treatment systems.
Aligned with Pakistan’s climate adaptation priorities, urban resilience needs, and water security challenges, the sessions strengthened the technical understanding and practical capacity of stakeholders while disseminating standardised guidance and promoting the integration of NbS into

WASH planning, urban resilience, and climate adaptation frameworks.
Through stronger engagement with government institutions and sector partners, this initiative lays the foundation for scaling, replication, and institutionalisation of nature-based solutions, paving the way for more sustainable and resilient water resource management across Pakistan.
