Islamabad: Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, met with Manuel Frederico Pinheiro da Silva, Ambassador of of Portugal to Pakistan.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Portugal remarked that every day he spent in Pakistan was memorable and enriching. He expressed deep admiration for the breathtaking beauty of Gilgit-Baltistan and the northern regions, describing them as “heaven on earth.” He also appreciated Pakistan’s vibrant culture and the warmth and hospitality of its people, terming them truly unique.
The Federal Minister lauded the ambassador’s diplomatic services and constructive cooperation during his tenure in Pakistan. He acknowledged the positive role played by the ambassador in strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.
Both sides discussed prospects for enhanced collaboration in the justice sector, including judicial training, institutional reforms, and capacity-building initiatives. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Portugal in the legal and judicial domains.
