Kazakh President to arrive in Pakistan on days visit tomorrow

Islamabad : President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay a state first visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan from tomorrow.

During the visit, talks will be held with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari, focusing on prospects for strengthening political, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

It is expected that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will take part in the Kazakhstan–Pakistan Business Forum.

During the two day visit, President Tokayev is expected to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, hold talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and address Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Forum.

The visit will provide the two sides an important and timely opportunity to undertake a comprehensive review of bilateral relations, discuss new avenues for broadening cooperation, particularly in trade, logistics, regional connectivity, people-to-people contacts, and explore collaboration at regional and international forums.

The Foreign Office spokesperson in his statement, said the visit reflects the strengthening bonds between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, their mutual commitment to transforming historic and cultural affinities into robust cooperation, and their common desire for peace and progress in the region.
