Alhamra Welcomes Emerging Civil Servants from Balochistan

LAHORE: A delegation of Probationary Assistant Commissioners from the Quetta Civil Services Academy, Balochistan, visited the Lahore Arts Council (Alhamra). Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the Executive Director of the Lahore Arts Council, Muhammad Nawaz Gondal, who extended his best wishes for the officers’ future endeavours.

Addressing the delegation, Gondal emphasized the gravity of their new roles. “Joining the Civil Service is not only an honor but a profound responsibility,” he stated. He urged the young officers to employ sincerity, hard work, and their full potential to tackle the nation’s challenges effectively.

Highlighting the council’s broader mission, Gondal noted that Alhamra plays a pivotal role in preserving and promoting language, literature, culture, and historical heritage. He further remarked that the institution is instrumental in fostering national unity, as well as inter-provincial and international cultural harmony.

During the visit, Deputy Director Admin Alhamra, Umair Hassan, provided a detailed briefing to the officers regarding the institution’s operational role, creative initiatives, and cultural services.

To showcase the region’s artistic heritage, the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts arranged a special musical performance for the delegation. This segment provided the officers from Balochistan an opportunity to experience and appreciate Pakistan’s classical music up close.

At the conclusion of the visit, Executive Director Muhammad Nawaz Gondal presented an honorary souvenir to Shabana Sultan, Director of the Quetta Civil Services Academy. The delegation described the visit as pleasant and memorable, extending their special gratitude to the Lahore Arts Council for its hospitality and cooperation.
