PNCA Reaffirmed Commitment to Training in Theatre, Performing Arts, and Culture

PNCA Hosts Three-Day Intensive Stage Workshop

Islamabad :-  Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) successfully hosted a three-day intensive theatre and acting workshop led by renowned theatre practitioner, arts educator, and program organizer Dr. Waqar Azeem. The workshop attracted an overwhelming response, with a large number of participants from the theatre and performing arts industry, including students, emerging artists, and seasoned professionals, reflecting the growing interest in structured theatre education in Pakistan.

The workshop provided participants with a rich and hands-on learning experience, emphasizing acting and theatre as powerful tools for human expression, social awareness, and creative growth. Through a combination of interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants explored body language, facial expressions, voice modulation, imagination, and scene creation, while also gaining valuable insights into the collaborative processes of directing and stage production.

Director General PNCA, Muhammad Ayoub Jammali, praised Dr. Waqar Azeem’s efforts and stated that the workshop has set a new benchmark in theatre education. He noted that participants not only enhanced their technical skills but also developed a deeper understanding of the artistic and social dimensions of theatre.

Participants described the workshop as inspiring and transformative, highlighting Dr. Waqar Azeem’s unique ability to blend technical mastery with creative vision.

Certificates were awarded at the conclusion of the workshop.During the award distribution ceremony, Director Performing Arts Sami Ullah Baloch presented a poem in eloquent and expressive words.However, its true success lay in the knowledge gained, critical thinking developed, and heightened artistic awareness achieved by the participants.

PNCA reaffirmed its commitment to organizing high-quality training programs and workshops to further promote theatre, performing arts, and cultural education across Pakistan.
