International medical partnerships are a cornerstone of Pakistan’s health policy, Dy Chairman

Acting Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Hosts Reception for overseas Physicians, Emphasizes Strengthening Pak–US Healthcare Cooperation

Islamabad : Acting Chairman Senate, Syedaal Khan, hosted a dignified reception in honour of a delegation of American physicians, highlighting the importance of strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and the United States in the field of healthcare.

Syedaal Khan stated that international medical partnerships are a cornerstone of Pakistan’s health policy. He said the government is focusing on establishing and expanding modern hospitals and medical centres to provide quality healthcare services to the public. He added that special investments are being made in medical education, professional training, and medical research to make the national healthcare system more effective.

He emphasized that the experience and expertise of Pakistani American physicians would help modernize Pakistan’s healthcare system. He also stressed the need to promote joint research initiatives and training programmes, which would benefit the medical sectors of both countries.

Speaking on the occasion, US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker remarked that relations between Pakistan and the United States are growing stronger and that the US values its relationship with Pakistan. She underlined the importance of expanding parliamentary and people-to-people contacts and praised the contributions of Pakistani doctors serving in the United States. She described Pakistan as a loving and hospitable nation.

Senator Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan appreciated the outstanding services of Pakistani doctors residing in the United States, calling them a valuable national asset. He said overseas Pakistani doctors are not only serving humanity with dedication but are also projecting a positive image of Pakistan across the world.

The event was attended by Senators Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan, Ata-ur-Rehman, Hidayatullah Khan, and Khalil Tahir Sandhu, along with prominent medical experts, overseas Pakistani doctors from the United States, and other distinguished guests.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, a dinner was hosted in honour of the guests, who appreciated the success of the event and welcomed efforts to enhance Pak–US cooperation in the health sector.
