
Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani Addresses GMBF 2025
Kuala Lumpur – Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, addressed the 3rd Global Muslim Business Forum (GMBF) in Kuala Lumpur. The event brought together prominent leaders and business experts to discuss economic cooperation and development in the Muslim world.
The forum was attended by esteemed guests including Prof. Din Syamsuddin from Indonesia, Sir Iqbal Sacranie from the UK, Dr. Wael from the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Technology (ICCI), TS Michael Dato’ Iqbal, and Dato Amat Haji Awang, Deputy Premier of Sarawak.

Chairman Gilani emphasized the need for deeper economic cooperation, innovation, and unity across the Muslim world. He called for a coordinated economic trajectory and joint ventures to strengthen Muslim nations’ economic potential. He also highlighted the importance of Islamic finance, fintech, and sustainable investment in driving economic growth.
The Chairman underscored Pakistan’s emerging opportunities driven by its young population, expanding consumer base, and growing innovation ecosystem. He invited Malaysian businesses to explore new avenues of collaboration through Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

Chairman Gilani concluded by urging Muslim countries to move beyond rhetoric and build concrete networks of trade, investment, and innovation. He expressed Pakistan’s commitment to working alongside its partners to build a stronger and more prosperous Muslim world.
