China pledges constructive role in Pakistan-Afghanistan relations
Beijing : Chinese Foreign ministry spokesman said that China supports countries in exercising restraint and realising a full and lasting ceasefire, its foreign ministry said on Thursday, when asked about Pakistan and Afghanistan agreeing to a 48-hour ceasefire.
China is in line with the common interests of both sides and conducive to regional peace and stability. China welcomes and supports this development.
Pakistan and Afghanistan are both friendly neighboring countries of China, and they are neighbors that cannot be moved away. China supports both countries to maintain calmness and restraint, achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire, persist in resolving differences through dialogue and consultation, and return to the track of political solutions. Together, they can jointly maintain peace and stability in both countries and the region. China is willing to continue playing a constructive role in improving and developing the relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
