
Australian High Commissioner Calls On NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq
Islamabad : Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met with Australian High Commissioner Timothy Kane at the Parliament House. The meeting focused on bilateral relations, regional and global issues, and enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
Both sides agreed to strengthen friendly ties and expand collaboration in various sectors. NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reiterated his commitment to further consolidating the longstanding cordial relations between Pakistan and Australia. He emphasized that parliamentary diplomacy can play a key role in strengthening bilateral relations.
Highlighting investment opportunities in Pakistan, NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said the country offers significant prospects in economic sectors, particularly livestock and mining. He added that Pakistan is rich in mineral resources, which have attracted strong interest from investors worldwide. The NA Speaker also noted that the Pakistan-Australia Parliamentary Friendship Group in the National Assembly continues to play an active role in fostering inter-parliamentary engagement.

Australian High Commissioner Timothy Kane praised the Pakistani nation as resilient and hospitable, noting the vital contribution of Pakistani expatriates to Australia’s development. He expressed interest in Australian investment in Pakistan’s mining sector and affirmed Australia’s strong commitment to its longstanding, friendly relations with Pakistan.
The High Commissioner also appreciated Pakistan’s democratic system and the role of its parliamentary institutions.
