Chairman Gilani Holds Sideline Meeting with Cambodian Senior Minister Othsman Hassan in Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur : Chairman Senate of Pakistan, His Excellency Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, held a sideline meeting with Neak Oknha Datuk Dr. Othsman Hassan, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Mission of the Royal Government of Cambodia, during his visit to Malaysia for the 3rd Global Muslim Business Forum (GMBF).
The meeting was cordial and focused on reviewing the state of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Cambodia. Both sides reaffirmed their desire to further strengthen cooperation grounded in mutual respect and shared interests.
Chairman Gilani underscored Pakistan’s commitment to expanding its engagement with Southeast Asia, particularly in areas of economic connectivity, investment, trade facilitation, and parliamentary collaboration. He noted that forums such as GMBF provide valuable opportunities for meaningful interaction among leaders, policy-makers, and business communities from across the Muslim world.
Both dignitaries agreed to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation in areas of mutual benefit and to continue high-level engagement to build on the positive momentum in Pakistan–Cambodia relations.
