
Islamabad : High Commission of Sri Lanka in Islamabad successfully participated in the Global Tourism Exhibition 2025 held at Islamabad. The event served as a significant platform to promote Sri Lanka as a leading travel destination among the Pakistani public, the diplomatic community, and international visitors.
At the Sri Lanka stall, the High Commission presented a vibrant display of tourism promotional materials highlighting the island’s diverse attractions, cultural heritage, natural beauty, and adventure experiences. The exhibition booth also featured a variety of Sri Lankan products, including biscuits from Maliban and Munchee’s, Ceylon Tea, Ceylon Cinnamon, and other renowned spices. These items drew considerable interest and appreciation from attendees, offering them a glimpse into Sri Lanka’s unique flavour and craftsmanship.
The Global Tourism Exhibition 2025 saw the participation of more than 20 diplomatic missions and numerous Pakistani travel operators. Over 20,000 visitors attended the event, including foreign dignitaries, members of the diplomatic corps, and Pakistani nationals. The Sri Lankan stall attracted a large number of guests who expressed keen interest in exploring travel opportunities to Sri Lanka.
The High Commission’s participation in the exhibition forms part of its continued efforts to strengthen tourism partnerships, enhance people-to-people engagement, and promote Sri Lanka as a preferred destination in the region.
