
ECO-CCI President Secretariat Inaugurated on 40th Anniversary of ECO Inception and 32nd Anniversary of ECO Regional Block Expansion
Islamabad : Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kystaubayev, said that Kazakhstan is ready to strengthen regional trading blocks and enhance mutual cooperation. He appreciated Atif Ikram Sheikh’s efforts to bring ECO member countries closer and boost mutual trade.
Atif Ikram Sheikh, President ECO-CCI and FPCCI, has stated that ECO is one of the most dynamic regional blocks globally, and the formation of the ECO platform is a milestone for promoting trade, business, and mutual relations among member countries.
He was speaking at the ECO Day celebration held at FPCCI on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of ECO inception and the 32nd Anniversary of ECO regional block expansion.
Atif Ikram Sheikh inaugurated the ECO-CCI President Secretariat and flag hoisting ceremony in Islamabad with diplomats from various countries. He said that member countries can increase mutual trade through business delegation exchanges and free trade agreements.
“We need to connect ECO member countries through economic corridors,” he emphasized. Member countries should facilitate transportation, banking, and other sectors for each other’s business communities.
Diplomats from other ECO member countries and Foreign Office officials also addressed the ceremony.
Key attendees included Tariq Jadon, Vice President FPCCI; Malik Zubair, former President FPCCI; Karim Aziz Malik, Chairman Capital Office; and Malik Sohail, Chairman Coordination.
