
Minister of State for Law & Justice represents Pakistan at the 151st IPU Assembly
Geneva : Minister of State for Law & Justice, Barrister Aqeel Malik, represented Pakistan at the 151st Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly, where he actively participated in high-level discussions and meetings focused on global peace, security, and justice.
During the Assembly, Barrister Aqeel Malik attended the 19th meeting of the High-level Advisory Group (HLAG) on Countering Terrorism & Violent Extremism, where deliberations emphasized strengthening global cooperation, enhancing legislative responses, and promoting the rule of law to effectively counter terrorism and violent extremism.
He also participated in a panel discussion on “Migration, Terrorism & Transnational Organized Crime: Challenge Responses through Parliamentary & International Cooperation,” where he presented Pakistan’s stance on the need for collective action, inclusive policymaking, and robust legal frameworks to address these interlinked global challenges.
Throughout the Assembly, Barrister Aqeel Malik held a series of productive meetings and engagements with parliamentarians and international representatives, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to advancing justice, promoting good governance, and enhancing international collaboration to ensure global peace and stability.
