Islamabad : British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, called on Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
The Defence Minister warmly welcomed the High Commissioner and expressed Pakistan’s desire to further deepen bilateral relations between the two countries. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on matters of mutual interest, regional security, and ongoing cooperation in defence and strategic affairs.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration across multiple domains.
During the meeting, the matter of increasing flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to the United Kingdom, as well as the inclusion of additional airlines to enhance air connectivity between the two countries, was also discussed.
The meeting concluded with a shared understanding to continue constructive engagement and further solidify the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
