
DG RDA Kinza Murtaza Vows to Preserve Natural Beauty, Provide Recreational Facilities
RAWALPINDI: On the directions of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Abdul Amir Khatak Engineer, the Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Kinza Murtaza, chaired a joint meeting at the site of Misriot Dream regarding the preservation and development of Misriot Dam and Dhamiyal Forest Land.
Representatives from the Forest Department, Irrigation Department, Environment Department, Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), RDA, and the project consultant attended the meeting.
The meeting focused on the establishment of a public park at the site to preserve the natural beauty of the area, protect the forest land, prevent encroachments, and provide recreational facilities for citizens. Proposed facilities include picnic spots, walking tracks, and nature-friendly spaces for families.
Speaking on the occasion, DG RDA Kinza Murtaza said that the project will not only safeguard the ecological environment but also enhance public welfare by providing a sustainable green space for the residents of Rawalpindi.
