President pay tribute to Quaid’s unparalleled leadership

Message from Mr Asif Ali Zardari
President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
On the 77th Death Anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,
11th September 2025

Islamabad : Today, on the 77th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, we pay tribute to the founder of Pakistan—a man whose extraordinary vision, unwavering determination, and principled leadership changed the course of history. Today, we express our gratitude for creating a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent, where we are free to shape our lives according to our own wishes and uphold the principles of socio-economic justice as enunciated by Islam.
Quaid-e-Azam did not just create a country; he gave a people their identity, their dignity, and a homeland where they could live in freedom and self-respect. He envisioned a Pakistan built on the foundations of justice, equality, tolerance, and democracy. His dream was of a progressive, inclusive, and forward-looking nation—where all citizens, regardless of religion, caste, or creed, would enjoy equal rights and opportunities.
The treatment of minorities—particularly Muslims—under the RSS-influenced government in India today has once again affirmed the truth of the Two-Nation Theory presented by the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Even India’s own minority communities now acknowledge that their religious, political, and social rights are no longer secure. These circumstances stand as a stark reminder that the creation of Pakistan was not only justified but a historically inevitable decision.”
Today, Pakistan is facing a defining moment. We confront challenges, including economic challenges, the effects of climate change, social inequality, extremism, and the need for deep institutional reforms. However, we must remember that we are not the first generation to be tested. We must seek inspiration from Quaid-e-Azam and the workers of the Pakistan Movement, who faced far greater odds and prevailed through unity, resolve, and a deep sense of purpose.
On this day, let us reaffirm our resolve to build the Pakistan that Quaid-e-Azam has envisioned a democratic state, governed by the rule of law and accountable institutions. We need to take steps to build a country where no one is left behind—where our youth have opportunities, our women are empowered, and our minorities are respected.
It is our shared responsibility, and the guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam, “unity, faith, and discipline”, must be our guide in this journey. The ideals of Quaid remain as relevant today as they were in 1947. If we honour his legacy with sincerity and action, there is no challenge we cannot overcome.
I am sure that by acting upon the Quaid’s teachings, we can make Pakistan stronger and prosperous. Insha’Allah.
