PPAF distribution of relief packages to 1,100 affected families

Islamabad : Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Imran Ahmed Shah, visited the flood relief camps established in District Sahiwal. During the visit, the Federal Minister supervised the distribution of relief packages to 1,100 affected families by the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) in collaboration with the Farmers Development Organization (FDO). A total of 500 packages were distributed in Dad Baloch, while 300 each were distributed in Chak Akbar Shah and Oranga Abad. Each relief package contained essential food and household items worth PKR 25,000.

Syed Imran Ahmed Shah also interacted with the flood victims at all three relief camps and assured them that every possible measure would be taken to provide continuous assistance until their complete rehabilitation. He further stated that medical treatment facilities were also being provided to the affected families.

The Federal Minister reaffirmed that the Government of Pakistan would leave no stone unturned in ensuring the relief and rehabilitation of flood-affected communities. He emphasized that, on the special instructions of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, relief packages are being distributed across the province to support flood victims.

Syed Imran Ahmed Shah added that Pakistanis stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their fellow citizens in this difficult time. Highlighting the broader challenge, he observed that Pakistan remains one of the most climate-vulnerable regions of the world and stressed that the federal government is taking long-term measures to confront the adverse impacts of climate change. He further assured that all government institutions are committed to providing care, dignity, and rehabilitation for the affected families.
