Speaker NA Expresses Deep Sorrow Over Loss of Lives and Property Due to Recent Monsoon Floods and Helicopter Crash During Relief Efforts

Islamabad : Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic loss of precious lives and widespread damage caused by recent monsoon rains, cloudbursts, and flash floods in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—particularly District Buner—as well as in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

Terming natural disasters a stern test of resilience, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that such challenging times call for national unity and mutual cooperation. He extended heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in these tragic events, affirming that he shares their grief and stands with them in this difficult hour.

Highlighting the urgent need for effective rescue and relief operations, Speaker NA urged the federal and provincial governments to take swift and coordinated steps to ensure timely rehabilitation of the affected population. He also directed the concerned departments to intensify ongoing relief efforts and ensure that all those stranded or impacted receive immediate assistance.

Underscoring the growing threat posed by climate change, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stressed the importance of pre-emptive measures to mitigate the impact of natural calamities. He appealed to the public—especially the youth—to actively participate in relief operations and to fully support rescue teams on the ground.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of the deceased, grant a speedy recovery to the injured, and bestow strength and patience upon the grieving families to bear their irreparable loss.

Speaker NA also expressed profound sorrow over the helicopter crash in Bajaur that occurred during ongoing rescue operations for flood-affected individuals. He conveyed deep condolences over the loss of precious lives in the incident, stating that those who sacrifice their lives while serving the nation in times of crisis are the true heroes of Pakistan. He offered heartfelt sympathy to the families of the martyred personnel and prayed for the elevation of their ranks in the hereafter and for fortitude to be granted to the bereaved families during this time of immense sorrow.
