Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal, Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik, FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial, and the Secretary of Commerce will also be present at the meeting. To this end, the President of FPCCI will lead a delegation to meet with key government stakeholders.

FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh stated that the business community has reservations about Sections 37AA, 8B, and 40B of the Sales Tax Act, and Section 21S of the Income Tax Ordinance. Conducting business with unregistered entities has also been categorized as fraud, which is creating an atmosphere of harassment. He added that the climate of fear among people should end and that they do not wish to create any difficulties in the current situation, therefore the government should accept the demands of the business community.
