Science and Commerce vital for economic growth of Pakistan, Magsi

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi met with Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan to discuss enhancing the country’s exports and promoting collaboration in the scientific sector. Federal Secretary for Science and Technology Sajid Baloch and other senior officials were also present during the meeting.

Both ministers agreed that close cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Commerce is essential to increase Pakistan’s export capacity. Special focus will be given to upgrading laboratory facilities to meet international standards, particularly for the export of surgical instruments and other products.

Federal Minister Khalid Hussain Magsi emphasized that, in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the integration of science and commerce is vital for the economic growth of the country. Both ministries will start working jointly on proposals to significantly boost exports. Minister Jam Kamal Khan assured full support from his ministry in this regard.

Federal Secretary Sajid Baloch stated that modern research and quality testing can make Pakistan’s export products competitive in the global market. Both ministers reiterated their commitment to implementing a joint strategy aimed at national development, self-reliance, and the promotion of exports.
