United States (GNP): Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are running for the US Presidential election on 5 November 2024. The winning candidate will serve a four-year term in the White House starting January 2025.
Former President Donald Trump from the Republican Party has chosen Ohio senator JD Vance as his vice president in the presidential elections.
The current vice president, Kamala Harris from the Democratic Party entered the presidential race after President Joe Biden withdrew. She runs the election campaigns with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her vice president.
Both candidates are emphasizing key issues to generate more support. For example, Kamala highlighted abortion rights and economic stability. In contrast, Trump addressed the inflation and the illegal immigration issues.
Announcing Presidential Election Day, Barack Obama encouraged citizens to vote, saying, “Today is Election Day. Millions of Americans will be going to the polls to show the world who we are and what we stand for.”
